Wainfleet (1859)

Wainfleet, Lincolnshire Your numerous readers will be glad to hear that the Lord’s work is flourishing here. I have heard from very authentic sources, that about 200 persons have already been brought from nature’s darkness into God’s marvellous light, in this small town. The blessed work is still progressing, and it is believed that many more will taste that the Lord is gracious. The public houses are nearly deserted, and Satan’s kingdom is giving way. Mr Pearson, a Wesleyan preacher, who has retired from business, in order to devote himself fully to the service of the Lord, has been the chief instrument in this work. His labours have been greatly blessed by God in several other places.
