John Wesley's First Chapel

Date: 1739  ·  Place: Bristol, Gloucestershire  ·  Type: Individual well

This was Wesley's first headquarters and is the oldest Methodist building anywhere in the world. It was built in 1738 and enlarged in 1748. Above the chapel are rooms where John and his brother Charles stayed. It has been decorated so that it resembles the way it would have looked in Wesley's day.
