The Rev William Wood visited Ulster in September 1859 to witness the revival there. There were prayers said for Campsie in Londonderry and within two hours of those prayers a special manifestation of the Divine presence had occurred during the time of prayer in a Campsie schoolroom. This was the beginning of the awakening.
