Hednesford

Date: 1882  ·  Place: Hednesford, Staffordshire  ·  Type: National well

(Capt. David Baugh).— this Station has been opened eight days. God is with us and saving some ol the worst sinners.

The "Converted Drunkard" standing up said, "Friends, you know me. I have been the worst character in Hednesford, but Jesus has changed my heart. If I had not been saved the publicans would have had six shillings, but my wife and family have had instead." Another said, "I am glad I am saved. One night last week there was a beneft for one of the actresses. After the play was over she came out crying because the people had gone to hear The Salvation Army. Our doors are thrown open, and they come in if they have not a penny. Salvation is without money or price. Hallelujah!" The drunkard shall be brought to Jesus. Eighty souls for this week.
