1829 Coed y cymmer, Glamorganshire. ‘In the years 1829 and 30, as we said in the account of Merthyr, the Lord visited the region, adding many to all the churches, and so it was in this place also. Not less than 40 or 50 members were added to this young church. The increase in the hearers was commensurate. The chapel, therefore, became too small; and though the debt had not been fully cancelled, yet the brethren had to take it down, and build a new one. Some of the members received in the revival died in their first love, and the greater part of the rest have worked in the vineyard up to today.’ (MC iii. 80)
