Zion Chapel, The Borough (1821)

The Lady Day quarterly meeting was held at Zion chapel in the Borough. The love feast which followed, Henry Freeman being present, lasted five hours. Several persons spoke of the great things God had done for them. At 9 o'clock special prayer was made, and the power of God descended on the people in so wonderful a manner that many were suddenly brought into deep distress and a number of them, there and then, stepped into the glorious liberty of the children of God. The meeting was in every respect so remarkable that one of the preachers greatly marvelled that he did not hear of anyone being sanctified that evening.
