Rothwell (1742)

Soon after John Nelson was admitted into connection with the Mr Wesleys, the Lord raised up a very; useful labourer, one William Shent, in Leeds, whose labours he hath greatly, and still, I hope, greatly owns and blesses. By this man and other assistants, the work has wonderfully flourished ever since, not only in Leeds but in various other towns and villages around it, Seacross, Hunslet, Rodwell, Oulton, Ardsley,  Bramley, Coverley, Yeaden, &c.

Letter from W Grimshaw to Dr Gillies July 1754.
