"July 12. Many backsliders are returning to the Lord, and the cleansing work is going on. Last Sunday night at Carlton, upwards of twenty I think either found peace with God or obtained a clean heart. We had a still greater night on Monday at Halifax chapel, and last night at New Sneinton, many souls were saved. Glory be to God! I have not time to enter into any particulars."
