Thomas Hitten and seven Martyrs
Thomas Hatten was burned in 1530 and then Edmund and Katherine Allin, Joan Manny, Walter and Mrs Appleby, Joan Bradbridge and a blind girl Elizabeth Lewis were burned in 1557.
The area around and north of this spot was a Meadow.
